Since the early 1970's, the Sumner Soccer Club has been proud to provide Sumner and the surrounding communities with quality soccer programs and endless hours of FUN!

From rec-level soccer leagues to select-level tryouts and teams, we emphasize F-U-N while providing a safe, healthy activity in a positive and enjoyable environment.

For all Sumner Soccer Club regular season games U-6 thru U-10, players will be required to use the jerseys provided by the Sumner Soccer Club. All other parts of the uniform (i.e. shorts, socks, shin guards and shoes) will be the responsibility of the player.  When a player out-grows the club-provided uniform, the parents must replace the uniform by requesting a new uniform via the registration form (clearly indicated during registration).  Home team wears WHITE.

For U-11 thru U-19 teams the entire uniform will be the responsibility of the team / player.

Registrations are taken online beginning the first week in April.  Please carefully read and understand these 2 very important points:

1.  To register, you must create an account using a valid e-mail address.  You will finish registration after the system sends you confirmation documents using the e-mail address you provide.  (If you don't have an e-mail address, we suggest you create a free account with Yahoo! or a similar e-mail service.)  If you have a player in the club, you should use the same account (the same username and password) to register to be a coach.

2.  We completely respect your privacy.  This is important because it means you can provide your e-mail address without receiving junk e-mail from us.  We will not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share your e-mail address with any other organization.  Please make sure to provide an accurate, valid e-mail address -- it's the only way to successfully complete registration.

With regards to select teams and tryouts, please read the following:

For those who believe tryouts are needed, please be aware of the following:

1. You will need to submit a coaching application (see link below), from which SSC will determine who is most suitable.   Think of it this way:  You are asking kids to try out for your team, shouldn’t you need to do the same.

2. You will be responsible for reimbursing SSC for the cost of the turf fields used during tryouts.  This is typically passed along to the team, but that responsibility will be yours or your team treasurer.

3. SSC is considering consolidating tryouts where there are multiple teams of the same age/gender.  This will require determining how the selection process will work, but the reduced strain on our young athletes is reason enough to move in this direction.
